Matthew Adler is the Richard A. Horvitz Professor of Law and Professor of Economics, Philosophy and Public Policy, Duke University. His major areas of expertise include administrative law and constitutional law and his scholarship focuses on three areas: policy analysis, risk regulation, and constitutional theory. Adler’s academic experience includes tenure as the Leon Meltzer Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania as well as visiting professorships at Bar-Ilan University, Columbia University, Duke, the University of Chicago, and the University of Virginia. He has practiced litigation in the private sector, and earlier in his career clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor during the 1992-1993 term.
