Susan Fiske, Professor of Psychology, has investigated social bias since graduate school at Harvard. Fiske expert-witnessed in Hopkins v PriceWaterhouse, the first use of social framework analysis in a gender case, and later affirmed by the Supreme Court. As a result of this and other expert-witnessing, she developed a theory of power, control, and prejudice. With Glick, she developed Ambivalent Sexism Theory in lab, survey, and cross-cultural contexts. With Cuddy and Glick, her Stereotype Content Model identifies universal dimensions of intergroup bias, about which she testified at President Clinton’s Race Initiative.
