Baruch Fischhoff is Howard Heinz University Professor in the Departments of Engineering and Public Policy and Institute for Politics and Strategy at Carnegie Mellon University. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine, a past President of the Society for Judgment and Decision Making and the Society for Risk Analysis, and former chair of FDA’s Risk Communication Advisory Committee and EPA’s Homeland Security Advisory Committee.
