Carsten Erner is a Statistical Consultant with the Behavioral Science & Policy Association. In this role, Carsten assists in ensuring compliance with and development of Behavioral Science & Policy’s guidelines for data analysis and statistical reporting.

Carsten is currently a postdoctoral scholar at the UCLA Anderson School of Management researching consumer financial decision making using a variety of research approaches from psychology and behavioral economics. Further, Carsten investigates different perceptions of uncertainty, investor behavior in capital markets, and ways to improve financial education.

Prior to his current position at UCLA, Carsten worked as a postdoctoral scholar with teaching duties at the University of Münster. Carsten holds a PhD in Finance and a Master of Science in Business Management from the University of Münster and completed undergraduate courses at the University of California, Berkeley.
